Survey of the SHOP TAX Arisen in the Town of Forres 53
from the 5th April 1787 to the 5th April 1788 by Patrick McDonald Surveyor

I Patrick MacDonald Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify that upon careful examination
of the foregoing severall rates and duties, I find they amt [amount] in whole to one Pound
Twelve Shillings and four pence Sterling and that I delivered upon the eight day of Novemr [November] 1787 to
Humphrey Grant Collector of the said duties for the Town of Forres aforesaid an exact
duplicate of the said Acct [Account] duely examined and compound with the foregoing which contained my
oath that notices were left with the severall inhabitants or at their dwelling houses of the
dates annexed to their Severall names that were to be charged with the sums hereby certified.
