E106/33/3/21 We William Napier of Dales and George Bartholemew of Crossflats two of the Commissioners of Supply of the Shire of Linlithgow and James Taylor Collector and Clerk of Supply Do hereby Certify that the Lands of Polkemmet in the old authentic valuation Roll of the Shire of Linlithgow stand valued at the sum of Six hundred & thirteen pounds Six shillings and eight pennies Scots [£613.6.8]. And We further Certify that it appears from the Minutes of the Commissioners of Supply in the Year Seventeen hundred and fifty Seven that the following parts of the foresaid lands of Polkemmet Vizt. The lands called the Muir possest by William Bishop, and John Bishop his Son, the Lands of Cult commonly called Wester Cult possest by James Smith John Story, John Gentleman and James Rankine, the Lands called the Damhead, and part of the Lands of Parkhead lying on the South side of the High Road possest by Peter Murray and the rest of the Lands of Parkhead lying on the South Side of the High Road possest by John Weir having been disponed by the late Mr Baillie of Polkemmet to Mr Baillie now of Polkemmet his Son. These parts so disponed were divided from the other parts of the said lands of Polkemmet, and the valuation of the particular lands before disponed was ascertained at the sum of One hundred and Seventy five pounds, eleven shilling and three pennies Scots [£175.11.3], and the valuation of the Lands retained by Mr Baillie was ascertained at Four hundred and thirty Seven pounds fifteen shillings and five pennies Scots [£437.15.5].
