Note
In placing the lands of Brin in the Parish of Daviot,
the Commissioners have been guided solely by the entry in
the roll of 1691, of which only an Abstract is in the possession
of the county, prepared in November 1788, without
reference to the Roll of 1644 or any prior roll, and in
making the entry as above, the Committee have no intention
of indicating an opinion that Brin is in Daviot, and it
may be added that in the Roll of 1644, part of the Laird of
Brin's lands are entered in Dunlichity.
