The Valuation Book of the Shire of Dumfries was
made up and rectified 17th May, 1671; and on 30th
April, 1781, a new Valuation Book was made out to
that date, containing all the divisions that had taken
plane in consequence of acts of the Commissioners of Supply.
The following is the Valuation Book of the
said Shire, brought down to 6th November, 1787
