The DUKE of QUEENSBERRY'S Cumulo continued. Merks s. d. Merks s. d.

The total valutation of the Duke's estate, not including such of the late purchases as the tenants paid the supply for, appeared to be 39439.6.8
And the Commissioners of Supply, by their Act bearing date the said seventeenth day of May, one thousand seven hundred and forty five, appointed the supply, payable forth of the said valuation, to be uplifted and received in manner following, viz.
For the lands pertaining to the said Duke within the presbytery of Penpont, including the lands of Petty Heritors, in Kirkconnell parish, according to the valued rent of 32309.10.0
For the barony of Ross, including the Curans, and the lands of Reidhall, in Lochmaben (now stated under the united parishes of Kirkmichael and Garrell) according to the valued rent of 2735.10.0
For the barony of Torthorwold, including the two merkland possessed by Carlyle, and the Kirkland of Torthorwald, according to the valued rent of 3074.0.0
This article charged under the parish of Torthorwald.
For the Duke's part of Gotsbrig or Scotsbrig, according the the valued rent of 150.0.0
For the lands of Neuk, and twenty shilling land formerly possessed by Hog in Middlebie, according to the valued rent of 420.0.0
The two last articles stated under the parish of Middlebie.
And for the ten pound land of Dornock, above the kirk, according to the valued rent of 750.0.0
Extending together to the valued rent above specified of 39439.6.8
The Duke of Queensberry's cumulo in the presbytery of Penpont is therefore 32309.10.0
But the Commissioners of Supply, by their Act, dated thriteenth October 1748, found and declared, that the lands after-mentioned, ought in all time coming to bear publick burdens, according to the valuated rents following, viz.

The lands of Carcoside, Knockenstob and Tonguehouse, then belonging to Ninian Hair, conform to the valued rent of 330.0.0 [merks]
The lands of Kirkland of Kirkconnell, at the rate of 210.0.0 [merks]
These two atricles now stated under the parish of Kirkconnell.
And the lands of Netherlandcroft in Dalgarno, at the rate of 100.0.0 [merks]

And by another Act of the said Commissioners of Supply, dated 4th June 1751, It is ordered, that the lands of Tonguehouse, purchased by the Duke of Queensberry, should be disjoined from the above valued rent of Carcoside and Knockenstob, and pay for themselves at the rate of 25.0.0
And appointed that sum to be added to the cumulo valuation of the estate of Queensberry.
Therefore the Duke of Queensberry's cumulo in the presbytery of Penpont is

PARISH of KIRKCONNELL.
The lands of Petty Heritors were valued in cumulo with the estate of Queensberry; but by an Act of the Commissioners of Supply, dated 13th October 1748, they were disjoined therefrom, being the lands of Carcoside, Knockenstob and Tonguehouse, and appointed to pay by themselves, according to the valuation of 330.0.0
But by another Act of the said Commissioners of Supply, dated 4th June 1751, the valuation of the lands of Tonguehouse was disjoined from the above sum, and that added to the cumulo valuation of the estate of Queensberry, at the rate of 25.0.0
