N. [Note] The number of Saddle Horses in this Survey are considerably
short of the number in the preceding year, which arises partly from
Sundry Farmers etc having given up keeping Saddle Horses - and
partly from two Troops of Cavalry, one at Dunfermline, & the other
at Kirkaldy, who are exempt from duty for this year
