I Daniel Ross Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify
that upon Careful examination I find the forgoing Duties
amount to the Sum of Seventeen pounds Two Shillings
and seven pence Eight tenths Str. [Sterling] and that upon the
____ day of ____ I delivered to Mr. John Strachan
Collector of the said duties for the Burgh of Montrose
an exact duplicate of this account which contained my oath that
the Persons on the foregoing page were served with
requisitions, and that they were Charged agreeable to their
returns to me, or from the best information I could procure
