Survey of the Carriage and Horse Tax in the Burgh of
Kirkcudbright from the 5th April 1788 to 5th April 1789 by Anthony Macmillan Surveyor

I Anthony Macmillan Surveyor afoesaid do hereby Certify that upon careful
examination of the foregoing several rates and duties I find they amount
in whole to the Sum of Five pounds ten Shillings Sterling and that
on the Twelfth day of November one thousand seven hundred
and eighty eight years I delivered to Mr John Ewart Collector of
said Duties for the Burgh aforesaid an exact Duplicate
of the above which contained my Oath that requisitions
were left with or at their dwelling houses of the several persons
aforesaid of the dates annexed to their resive [respective] names that
they were to be charged with the Sums hereby certifies to be due from
