Survey of the Carriage and Horse Tax. Continued

I William Johnstone Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon carefull examination of the
above duties I find they amount to Two hundred and Seventy two pounds ten shillings Ster. [Sterling]
and that upon 29 Octr. [October] 1788, I delivered to William Wilkie depute Collector of said duties an
exact Duplicate of said Account duely examined & Compered which contained my Oath that the
foresaid Inhabitants were duely served with requisitions and that they were charged according
to their several returns or according to my knowledge & belief that they were liable in said duties.
