I William Hogg Surveyor of Taxes Do Hereby Certify that
upon Carefull Examination of the Foregoing account of
Dutys Arrissing in the County of Haddington on Carriage
& Saddle Horses I find they Amount to One Hundred &
Forty One Pounds Sterling And that upon the 10th December
1785 I Delivered to Mr William Wilkie Deputy Collector
of Said Dutys an Exact Duplicate of the foregoing duely
Examined & Compared & which Contained My Oath that
the foregoing Inhabitants were duely served with Requisitions
of the different dates, & that they were Justly Charged the several
Dutys from the Answers they returned & the full Evidence of their
having Retained Horses during the period mentioned in the Act
of Parliament
