A Survey of the Rates and Duties, on Female Servants Arisen in the Burgh ofFortrose from 5th Aprile 1789 to the 5th Aprile 1790 By John Barclay Asisstant surveyor
I John Barclay Surveyor Aforesaid, do hereby certify,That upon carefull examination of
the foregoing Rates & Duties, I find they Amount in whole to One pound twelve Shillings
& six pence, & that upon the Seventh day of December current, I deliverd to Baillie
Watson, present Baillie of the Burgh Aforesaid, there being no Collector Apointed, An exact
Duplicate of the Above Acct. [Account] duly examined & compared with the foregoing, which containd
my Oath that the said Acct. [Account] contained the Number of Servants returned to me and were kept
by the Several Masters or Mistress's According to the best of my know ledge or Information
Tain 21st Decr [December] 1789 John Barclay asst. [assistant] Surveyor
