19 Carts at 2 Sh [Shillings] each is £1.18.0

I William Brunton Surveyor aforsaid do hereby Certify
that upon Careful examination of the forgoing
Rates & Duties I find they amount to £1.18.0 Ster [Sterling] and
that upon the 12 day of Octr [October] I Delivered to John Hislop
Collector of the said Duties for the Burgh aforsaid
an exact Duplicate of the above accompts duly
examined and compared with the forgoing which
Contained my Oath that Notices were left with the
Severl Inhabitants or at their dwelling houses
that they were to be Charged with the sums Set
against their names
