Linlithgow Town Survey upon Carts
from 10th Octr [October] 1785 to 5th April 1786 by James Allan Surveyor

I James Allan Surveyor aforesaid, do hereby certify. That upon
carefull Examination of the foregoing several Rates & duties I find
they Amount in Whole to One pound twelve Shillings Sterg [Sterling] &
that upon the 23, Current, I delivered to Mr William Napier in Linlithgow
Collector for the Burgh aforesaid an exact duplicate of the above
Account, duly examined & compared with the foregoing which contained
my oath that notices were left with the several Inhabitants or
at their Dwelling Houses of the dates annexed to their respective Names
that they are chargeable with the Sums set against their several names
certified to be due from them
