I John Wood Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify That upon careful
Examination I find these duties to amount to the sum of eight
hundred and eighty five pounds ten Shillings Str. [Sterling] And that
the same day being the 16th of January 1792 I did deliver into the office
of George Cranston Esqr. Collector a Duplicate of this Acct. [Account] which contained
my Affidavit that the Charges of the Several Inhabitants
were made either in Consequence of their returns to my Requisition
or from the best Information I could get when they failed to
make such Returns
