I William Hogg Surveyor of Taxes Do Hereby Certify that upon carefull
Examination of the Foregoing Account of the Severall Rates and Dutys
on Wheel Carriages in the Royalty of Haddington I find the
Amount to be Thirty Four Pounds, Five Shillings and Six pence
And that upon the 19th December 1785 I Delivered to Mr John
Carfrae Collector for said Dutys an Exact Duplicate of the Above
Account duly Examined and Compared, And which Contained my Oath
that the Foregoing Inhabitants were Served with Requisitions
of the date aforesaid and the Assessment made from their Lists and Answers
now in my Possession from which their is no ground of Appeal.
